Travel marketing from people who check the booking data.
Destinations, tour operators, accommodation, and travel brands - we've run the campaigns, mapped the seasonality, and measured everything against actual bookings rather than brochure metrics.
We usually get brought into a travel account when someone has to fill the March departures. The wanderlust and hidden-gems copy is normally written by the time we get there.
We've worked with tour operators, destinations, and accommodation brands for over a decade, from local operators to international group travel. What we bring is seasonality mapped from real search data, campaigns timed ahead of demand, and measurement wired through to the booking system so nobody's arguing about what worked.
The INTRO Travel story
INTRO sells group adventure travel to 18-35s, and they're our longest-running proof. Their top tours rank top 3 on Google. Their "We Are Explorers" campaign - their biggest production to date - ran across YouTube, social, and search, and doubled tour sales while search impression share rose 114% and paid search CPCs fell by half.
The less visible work matters as much. Booking data from their custom CMS feeds dashboards where marketing spend sits next to actual revenue. Their search ads deliberately repel the wrong audience, so the click-through rate is lower and the bookings are better qualified. Michael at INTRO said we were "so much better than any of the others we'd worked with."
Where we fit
On a travel account the work usually covers SEO for the searches that end in bookings, Google Ads and YouTube timed to demand, social including Reddit for research-mode travellers, CRO so the traffic actually converts - OzParty's conversion rate rose 36% - and the data plumbing that connects it all to revenue.
"With the help of the 3WH team we were able to construct a massive multifaceted campaign to capture, engage and convert new users across numerous digital platforms, which not only saw a huge amount of exposure for our long-form video, but a marked decrease in conversion time and massive spike in brand search and recognition."
Questions we get asked
What's different about marketing travel?
Seasonality runs everything and most travel marketing ignores it. We analyse previous years' trends alongside live search trends across tens of thousands of terms, so campaigns run ahead of demand instead of chasing it. And the measurement has to reach actual bookings - for INTRO we pipe booking data from their custom CMS straight into the dashboards.
Can you handle brand campaigns, not just performance?
The 'We Are Explorers' campaign we built with INTRO was their largest ever - long-form video, massive on YouTube, supported from concept to completion. It cut conversion time and spiked brand search. Brand and performance ran as one budget, measured end to end.
Our audience is young and ignores ads. Now what?
Ours too - INTRO sells adventure travel to 18-35s. That's why we run Reddit, where their travellers ask strangers which tour company to trust, and why our search ad copy deliberately filters out the coach-holiday crowd.
Does sustainability messaging actually matter to bookings?
For a growing slice of travellers, yes - it decides close calls between comparable operators. We've worked with brands on eco-conscious and regenerative tourism positioning for years, and we push clients to be specific about what's actually true, because vague green claims now do more harm than saying nothing.
